Thatcham Comment on Self-Driving Car Crash Case

Good morning, I trust that everyone’s weekend went well.

Today I’d like to share some important news relating to automated vehicle’s, something we are expecting to become more and more prevalent in the coming years.

There still seems to be a number of challenges for us to get through technology wise like “ Automated Lane Keeping Systems (ALKS)” which is a specific function for automated vehicles.

The plan was for Jan 2021 in UK hands free driving, but since the victim was hit by a self-driving Arzonia in 2018, it appears we are still some way bringing it to the mass public, due to some technical issues. https://lnkd.in/eaVbUn5

My point for sharing this from ARGenesis perspective is because even though we are progressing well with automated driving, we still need to make sure we test the data roadmap from different aspects, not just claims predictions, meaning technological aspect data points to make sure it covers the key risks management framework (I.e running framework for the validation of the technology).

The ARGenesis “GenieUs” Ecosystem helps build roadmaps to help understand the liabilities associated with this, by cross validating components of the impacts of potential liabilities.
